Three years after the emotional finale of Snowfall, fans are officially heading back to South Central Los Angeles.
FX has announced that "The Drop: A Snowfall Saga" will premiere September 8, continuing the acclaimed universe that captivated millions throughout its six-season run.

Rather than revisiting Franklin Saint's empire, the new eight-episode series shifts its focus to fan-favorite survivors Wanda and Leon as they navigate a rapidly changing Los Angeles during the rise of 1990s West Coast hip-hop. What begins as a pursuit of redemption and opportunity quickly collides with the realities of street politics, record labels, and the growing influence of rap culture.

Returning stars Gail Bean and Isaiah John reprise their roles alongside newcomers including Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, Simmie "Buddy" Sims III, Mykelti Williamson, Brandon Mychal Smith, and several familiar faces from the original series.
The series was developed by Malcolm Spellman alongside producers from the original Snowfall team, promising a new chapter that explores the intersection of music, community, ambition, and survival in a city still living with the aftermath of the crack epidemic.
For longtime fans, this isn't just another spinoff. It's a chance to revisit one of television's most talked-about worlds through a different lens, following characters whose stories were never truly finished.
📺 "The Drop: A Snowfall Saga" premieres September 8 on FX and Hulu, with new episodes released weekly.
